Giraffes

Welcome to Giraffe Class! We love to learn and stretch our necks to reach up high to our dreams and goals.

Our teacher is Mrs Richards and our TA is Miss Clark.

This year, we are working very hard to develop our writing, learning lots of new skills to become budding authors. Playing Numbots helps us to learn important number knowledge which we can use in our Maths lessons. We can’t wait to delve into the ‘The Great Fire of London’, ‘The Victorians’ and ‘Fight for your Rights’ History composites and explore the U.K and Australia in Geography.

In Giraffes, we are brave, resilient, responsible and empathetic and always strive to do our very best.

Meerkats

Our teacher is Miss Thompson and our TA is Mrs Stanton.

Here in Meerkat class we are many things. From authors to illustrators, scientists to historians, geographers to mathematicians but above all, we are kind and caring people who support one and other. We show empathy, resilience, bravery and respect to those around us and apply these values to our learning. We also foster the Swingate love for reading as we delve into different books and authors from various backgrounds because we know how important reading is to our learning.
